The Big Paris Post
We haven't had good internet service since we've been here. Today it is working well, so I have been able to load most of our pictures. It has been raining everyday, which makes it a little more difficult to do everything we'd like...especially with Lee. But we're slowly crossing things off the list.
We start everyday with a little breakfast overlooking Place des Vosges...no big deal.

We tried to go to the catacombs, but they were closed for Armistice Day. It was my mom's 3rd attempt at going...only to find they weren't open. She and Virginia just left to try again. Bob left this morning...so I'm at the apt. with Lee.
Anyways....the catacombs were closed so we visited Notre Dame instead. By the time we made it home...we were soaked.

Virginia and I made it to Versailles. My advice to anyone thinking about going...don't....unless there is a pass for just visiting the grounds. We were a little let down. BUT the grounds were beautiful....and I'm sure in the summer they would be even more beautiful.

Nancee Lee kept Lee.

Most disappointing was the ridiculous art exhibit they had going on. I mean, really??

We spent a few hours on the grounds and rented bikes. The best decision we made.
(Yes, that is another ridiculous sculpture)

That night we went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa.

Liberty Leading the People

And Venus de Milo

We also spent 2 days going to markets with Bob. Found a few good things. Still to cross off the list...the Eiffel Tower....and maybe The Thinker at Rodin.
